| Where there's blogs, there's brass |

And it's a special TGIF today as your scribe helped supervise a champagne tasting last night (it appears my tastes are not as refined as some - I marked down Moet & Chandon as "a bit one note" and Billecart Salmon as "bland"). Not planning to give up the day job anytime soon. Where there's blogs, there's brassThere's plenty happening out there in the Blogosphere. I'm indebted to my old mate Rod Peno for his latest newsletter, imMEDIAtely to which I am hoping to score a link sometime over the coming few days. He's got a list of the 25 most valuable blogs in dollar terms. 1.The Gawker Properties: $150 million 2.MacRumors: $85 million 3.Huffington Post: $70 million 4.PerezHilton: $48 million 5.TechCrunch: $36 million 6 (tied): Ars Technica $15 million 6 (tied): Seeking Alpha $15 million 8 (tied): Drudge Report $10 million 8 (tied): Mashable $10 million 10. GigaOm: $8.4 million Who says you can't make money online. It's no wonder Nick Denton's heading the list - check out his hiring and firing policies nnnn Craigslists goes international. Scammers go to jailThe Scribe was in London last month the the Guardian Changing Media Summit and was intrigued to see Jim Buckmeister, the CEO of Craigslist interviewed on stage, and a very laidback bloke he is too. They've just announced they are going international, which is probably no consolation to the couple who came home to find their house emptied and their horse being led away after a couple of scammers posted an "everything must go" message on the site. nnnn TwitocracyGovernment by Twitter? Jeff Jarvis thinks it's the next big thing but your Wired Scribe is not so sure. Nice to know that Gordon Brown pays a civil servant for observations such as: "The amount of tourists at the street gates never ceases to amaze." nnnn
